PTO Meeting, Wednesday, January 18th

Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent teacher conferences are quickly approaching. Be on the look out for sign-up sheets. Our goal is 100% conference attendance. Conferences will be held Thursday, January 26th from 2-6pm and Friday, January 27th from 2-4pm.

Winter is here!
Just a reminder, students will be going outside when the temperature is 30 degrees and above.  Be sure to dress your child appropriately.  Children love to run and play outdoors and even play in the snow.  Students will spend an average of about 10 minutes outside.  If your child has a medical condition that prevents them from going outside, you must have a doctors excuse on file in the nurse’s office.

Early dismissals will not be permitted after 2:30pm. If you know in advance that your child will need to be picked up early, PLEASE call the Main Office at (773) 429.8955 or send a note with your child indicating the time.

Dropping Off Lay-by-Lane
SAFETY FIRST!  Thank you everyone for your patience during the peak drop off times between 7:40-8:10.  The traffic patrol crew are strategically positioned to monitor the safety of the students.  It is essential that you drop off only in the LAY-BY-LANE.   Parents who are dropping off may not expect a child to get out in the through lane, causing a safety concern.  Also, parents in large SUV’s may not see a small child exiting the vehicle from the through lane.  Please only use the LAY-BY-LANE (nearest the curb) for drop off.  We appreciate your continued patience and your cooperation as we work to ensure that every student arrives and departs from school safely.

Lunch Balances and Aftercare Fees
All balances must be brought current immediately!  Students will be excluded from aftercare and receive an alternate lunch if balances exist.  If your child currently attends Longwood and has a Loomis balance, balances need to be paid to Loomis.
